  • Course Description:

This course comprises the first part of the Animal Physiology subject. The course aims to introduce the major physiological processes of animal kingdom organisms. It covers some topics such as nutrition and digestion, reproduction as well as other physiological processes.

  • Course Main Objective:
    • 1-To introduce the student to the major physiological processes
    • 2-To understand the concepts of nutrition, homeostasis and metabolism.
    • 3- To illustrate physiological principles by studying the form and function relationships.
    • 4- To explain physiological systems from the molecular and cellular events through the coordination of the complete animal level.
    • 5- To describe how organisms interact with their environments and how environmental conditions modulate physiological regulatory mechanisms.
    • 6- To develop skills in conducting physiological investigations in the laboratory
