  • Course Description:

    This course introduces the principles and practicality of flowering plant taxonomy with emphases on identifying various plants species and relate them to their families using tools such as vegetative morphology, reproductive morphology and fruit morphological characterization.

     

  • Course Main Objective:
  1. To explain the principles of classification and discuss the history of plant taxonomy.
  2. To identify different plant species using Binomial Nomenclature
  3. To learn how species evolve and how species and species groups are related biologically, geographically and ecologically.
