• Course Description:

  During Herpetology course, students will be introduced to an overview of the systematics, anatomy and evolution of all the major living lineages of amphibians and reptiles, with an emphasis on the herpetofauna of Saudi Arabia.

   

• Course Main Objective:
  • 1-Familiarize students with the basic Zoology knowledge needed for the course and basics of Herpetology.
  • 2- Develop the student’s understanding and appreciation of Herpetology and their applications.
  • 3- Students get an overview over applied aspects of diversity and biology of amphibians and reptiles.
  • 4- To provide an awareness of the biological diversity, ecology, evolution and cultural and environmental value of reptiles and amphibians
